5 out of 5 stars great gps   May 14, 2008
i am very happy with this tom tom gps. I had a garmin before but that really sucks. Tom Tom does a much bether job with its products.

4 out of 5 stars Gets you there   May 12, 2008
Purchased right before a week-long driving trip touring colleges in New York and New England. It performed well, but there is room for improvement:

1. Battery life is not great - I got about 2-2.5 hrs I would guess
2. Limited list when you request points of interest near you. The list needs to be much longer.
3. no QWERTY keyboard option (if there was, I couldn't figure out how to change it)
4. zoom control on map browsing is very sensitive - I found it difficult to get the map display I wanted when zooming.

These are fairly minor things. Overall, it's easy to use and I'm very happy with it.

4 out of 5 stars TomTom Go 920 GPS   May 10, 2008
This is a great unit. I previously had a Garmin 330, the TomTom is far superior. I like the MP3 feature, I initially did not give any weight to that feature, but after using it, I love it. The same goes for the Bluetooth capability, I like the feature but I have been unable to get it to function properly, I'm not sure if it is the unit or something I am not doing correctly. It stumbles a little over the voice input, but it's better than nothing, inputting address was a annoyance with the Garmin. Shop around, the price for this unit is all over the board. I have not mentioned the navigation function because they all do that fairly well.

2 out of 5 stars Show me the way   May 9, 2008
This product is OK. One route I requested that ultimately was a 6 1/2 hour drive, the GPS routed me cirulusly with an estimated drive time of 9 1/2 hours. When in the vicinity of my final destination, it became helpful in finding the exact address. It is not especially good at shortest or fastest route. I do not find some major highways in the system.

Although the product is good product, please be aware that TomTom will not honor the 30 day free map upgrade when you purchase the devide from a third party that is not an authorized seller, even if it is factory sealed when you buy it. For example, individules selling "New" products on Amazon Marketplace do not qualify, and it will cost you $99.95 for the update.
