| Customer Reviews:
MIO C230 May 12, 2008 I think once I feel more confident using the Mio GPS I will like it better. I find that the instructions aren't as clear as a novice would like them to be.
The voice mechanism is pretty accurate. However, pronounciation of street names is often incorrect!
Returned it May 12, 2008 I got TOMTOM with canada maps for the same price so returned this. Even the price on Amazon went down by $5 after I bought. Amazon charged me for the return shipping.
Mio 230 May 11, 2008 The Mio230 was priced well below market vallue, but not available at the lowest advertised price. Which I thought was misleading. I ended up getting it from the same vendor at a higher cost. The Mio230 is easy enough to use and somewhat accurate, but it tends to dead end you a lot. By that I mean the unit will take you to screens you just cannot get out of. I would recommend anyone to wait until they get enough money to buy one of the higher cost units from a better know manufacturer.
Mixed reviews May 9, 2008 This would have been a really great purchase and for the price a really great value. I really can't complain TOO much about this, except it has a bad tendency to restart itself about once a day. For no reason, it just restarts. It's not that much of a big deal, just I like my electronics to work perfectly. I returned it twice. They will not replace it, just tried to fix it. They failed both times. Again, not that much of a big deal. It works as well as anything on the market for hundreds more. Its not perfect, but from reading GPS reviews they all make mistakes.
Mio DigiWalker c230 Great Buy May 6, 2008 The price was really the clincher... However, I have been comparing it to others I have seen since I bought the c230 and I think it holds up well. The screen (3.5) is smallish, but the legends are easily readable. The speech to text works clear and loud. And with the exception of tunnels I haven't lost a signal yet. It takes a few seconds to locate itself from a a cold start and is generally right on directions. I also like that it can be mounted on the dashboard and the post is more secure than regular suction cups on the windshield.
