5 out of 5 stars Mio is freakin' sweet   May 5, 2008
I have been living in Virginia Beach for all of my life - but I still get lost like a champ. This navigation has worked beautifully in getting me to where I needed to be - on time.

The screen is lit so you can see it at night and a special day setting gets rid of the glare. I don't understand those people who want a huge screen - you are asking it to navigate to for you - not watch Good Times.

It gives beautiful directions. "Turn left on Lynnhaven". It gets the pronucation of the street name 98% of the time. When it doesn't know what it is trying to say - it is kind of cute.

The only issue I have with it is that it restarts a few times when you deviate drastically from re-routes. But it boots itself right up. So it isn't really an issue. I am just concerned like all Window's applications; that if it keeps going down how will I get it back up and running again. But that is later on in its life.

It has helped me learn about my city and surrounding cities. I found so many beautiful places to eat and wonderful places to go and relax.( and get my nails done ;-p )

All in all it has paid for itself and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Sorry for the typos. They add charactor to the review. :-p

4 out of 5 stars MIO c230 Reveiw   May 2, 2008
Great product. Does everything you would expect from a
much more expensive GPS.
My only dissapointment is that when I was on Vacation in Miami it did not have the Miami Metro Zoo as a POI.

5 out of 5 stars Very nice GPS not an entertainment device.   May 2, 2008
The Mio C230 GPS is very accurate. The C230 also has many gps features that the Garmins and the Magellans do not have and the Mio C230 is a lot less money. The menu fairly easy to intuit and the keyboard in the menu is very easy to use. The Mio C230 is not an entertainment system or a communications tool it is a guidance system that does it's job very well. More POIs would be nice but not necessary. I have had no problems with this unit in the few weeks that I nave been using it.

1 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money on this MIO C230   May 2, 2008
Don't waste your money on this product. Too many problems and Customer Service is incompetent. The email customer service DOES NOT EXIST! They will never answer your questions!
I RECOMMEND TO LOOK FOR SOMETHING ELSE!

5 out of 5 stars Awesome GPS   April 21, 2008

I love this GPS. We bought it before relocating from Northern California to Central Florida. We didn't even Mapquest the trip or bring an Atlas. We decided to try out the Mio (and would buy a map later if needed). The Mio came through wonderfully. Of course there were a little bumps in the road. Access roads came up as "Unnamed roads" and such, but overall, I love this gadget. The price was awesome and I love that it tells me the street names so I don't have to try and calculate 500 yards. Previous reviews said the Mio was a little tricky to learn how to use, but I popped open the box and just played with it for about 10 minutes. I figured it out in no time. Now we are house shopping and using it to find potential homes for us. We've run into a couple of minor snags in brand new neighborhoods (less than six months old), but the cross street has always shown up. I definitely recommend this GPS.
