5 out of 5 stars It Will Surprise You   March 1, 2008

An excellent device for its price. Accurate, sleek, and easy to use. It also comes with great features such as "Speed Warnings, Reality View, and Zagat Survey." I recommend this device to anyone looking for a GPS under $200.

2 out of 5 stars too slow   February 27, 2008

Great hardware design but the details sink this product for me.
Input is very frustrating as the delays are long (up to 2s, sometimes more) and variable. The sound is not loud enough. After a turn, it does not give the next step immediately. This causes problems when there is a turn shortly after a turn and I get stuck 3 lanes away and having to miss the turn. Reality view is useful but it comes up only a small minority of the time for me.

5 out of 5 stars Super Dee Duper   February 24, 2008

I bought this item for my parents for Christmas. They are getting on in their years and whenever they drive somewhere they don't do well with the navigating part. They told me that they love it and they use it a lot now. My dad says he turns it on for routine trips to see the grandkids so it sounds like its easy to use and it even makes driving a little bit more fun.

4 out of 5 stars This is a great unit for the money ans great tech support.   February 23, 2008

I had a magellan 3225 and it was ok but this one is just as good and way less money. The 3D graphics are really cool and it picks up the satalites quickly. The screen is fine and don't let the 4.3 screens fool you the 3.5 is very good. My friend has the 4.3 screen and I like the smaller one better. When you decide to puchase make sure you get one with Text-to-Speech that a must.I paid 119.00 at staples and for the money it's a great one.I would recomend this unit to all my friends and family.Navigon 2100 is Great.

5 out of 5 stars Had To Buy It After Trying It Out   February 22, 2008

I ordered a Garmin Nuvi, but it didn't arrive before my trip, so I borrowed my Brother-in-law's Navigon 2100 WITH the lifetime traffic. We were verbally prompted twice (by the Navigon 2100) on the Mass. Tpke of upcoming (20 miles ahead) accidents, and chose the alternate routing it gave us. Both times we reentered the Pike we saw just behind us miles of stopped traffic, and accidents. This convinced me to get the Navigon 2100 with the lifetime traffic. I waited for a sale which included the lifetime traffic free, and have loved this GPS ever since. There are SO MANY great features to it which only the more expensive GPSs might have. The others also charge around $60/year for traffic, so this paid for itself in no time. When I returned from vacation, the Garmin had arrived, so I returned it unopened !!! I didn't need an MP3 player, etc. as they still would play through the small speaker in the GPS unit, so why pay for it in another unit ? Also, some of the reviews criticize this unit for having maps of only 48 states. I don't think I'll be driving in Hawaii or Alaska anytime soon !! I guess for the one time I might go to Canada, their maps would come in handy, but if so, they make the 2120 which has Canadian maps included, and I would have purchased that model. I RECOMMEND THE NAVIGON 2100 VERY HIGHLY!!
