 Fatal Application error in MN.exe January 10, 2008

Hi ,I had brought the product in the Black friday sale for 99$.It worked for a month or so but now it is giving Fatal application error.It just doesn go away and the customer service is very bad they just dont respond nor they have the solution as I am waiting for the solution over a week.

Got a Navigon 2100 for christmas, it worked for about a week. Now it is locked on the select language window and won't start. Navigon says they know about the problem but don't know what to do. They said they would call me when they figure it out. They guy I talked to said they had no idea when they might come up with a solution if there even is one, said I might have to exchange it, he would have to get back to me on that. Then he told me to "have a great day!?" From what I've read in other reviews I'm not likely to hear from them. The unit also displayed a fatal error window the first time
I turned it on, they said they knew about that too but didn't think the two problems were related. Looks to me like Navigon just wanted to start selling GPS units regardless if they worked or not. DO NOT BUY A
Navigon product!!! This is a horrible company that sells non-working junk
and won't give you the option to return it! I'm going to try to return
mine to Staples and buy a good road atlas.

Please! Think twice before you buy any navigon product! Mine was a Xmas present and it went broke the very first day (screen is flashing many different colors and not displaying anything!) Since December 26th, I have been calling (4 times) and email customer support and all I hear is "a supervisor will call you within 24-48h". Well, no one has! WORST customer service in the entire world! I honestly think they keep you waiting so you are past the deadline to return it at the store and then you will only have to deal with them. I returned mine today at STAPLES (Good thing the present came with a receipt) and I do want to have anything to do with NAVIGON for the rest of my lives! (as Borat will say! my lives!!!)

This GPS is extremely easy to use.
Within minutes of having it out of the box I was able to use it.
Two things that puzzle me. Does not come with an AC adapter and when you simulate a route on screen for a trip you are going to take, you cannot go more than 22 mph on screen, which can take a very long time to simulate a route for a long trip. These are only minor complaints. For the price I thought it was an excellent deal and I am extremely happy with it.

It works great for my needs. The exit sign view is especially helpful. I also like the features such as voice street names, speed warnings. Easily clips on and off the mount, to take with me or hide in the glove box when not in use.
