The Tom Tom is a very good product, easy to use, accurate, and very portable.

The ease of use is just amazing, I had it up and running in just minutes. No need for the instruction book, it walks you through every step, just type in the address where you want to go. Want to hit a Starbucks on the way? Just type in "Starbucks" and the display will show you every Starbucks along the way. The reason I gave it a 4 rating instead of a 5 is for two reasons;
1) If you have it on "talk" mode, it talks a little too much, maybe some of you would like this, but I don't need to be told three times when my turn is coming up.
2) Theft prevention was obviously not discused at there board meetings. I guess there idea was that you would take it with you wherever you go, and I would highly recommend you do that.

My TomTom XLS, GPS Guide is fantastic. I can be totally lost, and it'll get me anywhere I want to go in the U.S. And it's so easy to use. Consumer Reports rates it excellent.

This was my first GPS, overall extremely pleased with product, service and delivery (first one UPS lost, replacement promptly came). Good clean screen and view, computer voice with text to speech is excellant and easy to hear in my Jeep(Wrangler soft tops are noisy). Love the upgradable poi as I found aa couple of dated ones and replaced.Maps are new and easily updated, the one touch home button is great.Would appreciate a bit more memory, and Europe seems to have great support, US just getting to.Great forum of users, need more mount options though.Overall excellant!

The TOMTOM ONE XLS is for my wife who has no sense of direction. It got her to obscure locations in Boston and the suburbs with no problems. It is intuitive and the voice directions are great. Displays and commands are easy to use and very intuitive.
