I love my TomTom XL-S. I'm never lost anymore. It recalculates mis-routes instantaneously. I will definitely purchase a second one as a gift for Father's Day.

Easy to set up. Customer friendly!
I have tried tricking the GPS; and find that the GPS may take a route that is not as direct on roads that I am familiar with. However, using it when I am in an area with no knowledge of my surroundings, it gets me where I want to go! I am finally trusting my GPS!

I am a Mac user and new to the GPS world and I must say this is a great little gadget to have. On a recent trip to Florida I pre-programmed the unit to the places I wanted to go. As soon as I got in my rented car I selected the address to my hotel and it mapped out the quickest directions to my hotel. The fact that it tells you in advance the name of the street to turn on made getting around in a strange city very easy. Whenever some one recommended a restaurant as a good place to eat I simply went to the Points of Interest feature selected the restaurant and found my way to these out of way places. I never had to pull out my map on the entire trip. I bought two more for my kids.
Updating the unit is very easy. I did call TomTom tech support because I was not sure how to get the latest map up dates. They were great and the procedure was extremely easy.

Amazing little tool or toy, whatever you want to call it!
I even tried to confuse it by disobeying her directions. She didn't complain, just started directing me from where I was to my destination. I have not explored much else of its features though. I love it.

I have been using the TomTom One XL-S for the past month. It was simple to use right out of the box. Just plug it in and follow the prompts. I have used it in several parts of the country in addition to my home town. I have found it to be extremly accurate as to its location and also in finding a location and giving accurate directions to it. The only issue I have with it is that my work address is not in the system even though it is in a huge complex that has been there over eight years! In fact TomTom has no numerical address for this major street. My friend also has a TomTom One 3rd and it also is missing the numerical addresses for this street.
Over all I am happy with this product and felt it was a good value for the money and would buy it again.
