did everything it was advertised to do.
it's not 100%, but it's real close.
mounts on the windshield easily. bright display that even has a night mode. pleasant voice directions.
wide screen is the way to go.
it knows everything. (restaurants, hotels, etc)
may never look at a map again.

I have bought this GPS for myself and then again when family members wanted to buy one. I wanted a GPS with the larger screen and also spoke the actual street names. This model does both at a great price. There are some times that we feel it is not taking us the fastest way, but it always gets us to the destination (and if you are in a new area, you would never know there was a faster way!) There has been a few times when my husband has used it for work and it does not recognize the address or takes him out on a dirt road, but for the most part, it takes us to our destination. Sometimes newer streets do not exist, and I even updated the maps upon purchase. Still it is easy to use right out of the box, and does the job well.

I was very pleased with this product. It is very easy to use. The instructions are easy to understand and I was able to use it easily. I would recomend this to anyone interested in buying a GPS.
No Frills Wide Screen September 30, 2008
Fabulous product. I didn't need all the Christmas ornaments that can be included in these GPS's. The wide screen is far superior to the old standard sized screen. Easier to handle and easier to see from the windshield or dash. I'm from the South, but travel to New York City and have to drive around the Metro area and points to the North. This gadget is worth its weight in gold. I didn't experience the problems that some have written about here. Let's face it, Garmin is probably the best out there, and none of them are perfect 100% of the time, but this allows you to have the Jetson's information while you're driving around with the Flintstones!
Great GPS September 29, 2008
This is my first GPS. The Garmin 260W acquires signals extremely fast. It seems to be very reliable and I love how easy it is to use.
