5 out of 5 stars Review of Pharos 150 GPS   August 5, 2008
The Pharos 150 is easy to use and works well and is a far better bargin to comporable units

4 out of 5 stars Does the job   August 3, 2008
As a person who is known for getting lost I really appreciate my Pharos GPS unit. It gets me where I'm going and even if I change routes it quickly adapts and changes the directions it gives me. For the price it is well worth it.

This is a excellent GPS for people who fly and use rental cars. It small and compact for travel and has a built in battery. The unit calls out the street names for you and also tell you which side of the street the address is on. It does not have any emergency feature, but if you have a cell you don't need it. No Mp3 player either. But if you lose it then your only out $100 and not $400. The only drawback is that the touch screen is so small that you most use the included stylist that is in the side of the unit and like any safe driver would do you should pull over to use it. Yeah, like that is going to happen. Every other person going down the highway today have a cell glued to their head. So using the stylist going down the road will be a challenge for these people.

5 out of 5 stars Wow!   July 30, 2008

I have been looking at GPS Units for several months. My only hesitation was that $300 seemed like a lot of money for a convenience. First, to a degree I never appreiated until using a GPS Unit, the wow is $300 is a bargain when you travel at all, especially if you use the places I've to before function. If you are covering a lot of ground in a new community GPS Units get you back to the starting point (your hotel, for example) from any point by just saying "take me there". Second the Pharos GPS Unit is so simple to use that I was navigating and completely on top of all functions in 10 minutes. This may be true of all GPS Units, but wow, anyway. Finally, wow, I only paid $106 delivered. The size, which concered me, actually turns out to be a major feature, since it is a constant companion in my brief case, which has my laptop, which I am never without, either. Screensize is perfect for me.

5 out of 5 stars Great GPS   July 30, 2008
I bought this GPS unit for my daughter. She absolutely loves it. Works the same as higher priced brand name GPS units. Buy it you will be satisfied. Excellent value.
