Biggest bang for your buck November 2, 2008 Before I had these earbuds I used the Shure brand earbuds. The shure brand is known for high-quality, but not always appealing price tag. So while I enjoyed the quality of the higher end ear bud, I did not enjoy spending the $200 it cost to purchase them. Since those earbuds broke, I had been shopping around for another decent pair for a much lower price since it was obvious to me that my on-the-go lifestyle would not treat my headphones well. I looked into these earbuds a bit and figured I could spare a mere $30. I struck gold. These are some of the best earbuds I have ever had for the price. The sound-isolating quality is not of the same calibur as say the Shure series, but for the price they can't be beat. If a person were to stand within one foot of your person, neither you or the individual would be able to hear one another. That's some good sound isolation. In regards to the sound, the bass reproduction of these earbuds are actually slightly better than the shure series that I last used (of course those were second generation and I think they are up to the fifth). My only gripe with these earbuds is that if you enjoy music that is more artistic (classical or jazz) where instruments are emphasized over beat/vocals, these headphones may not be the best choice. The treble that these headphones put out is only mediocre. So rock, jazz, classical, and maybe a couple other genres may be better heard on a different headphone set, but I think only true audiophiles will notice a drop in quality and only if he or she had just recently been listening to some high-end headphones. This problem may even be remedied by a simple adjustment to the EQ that comes as a fairly standard option on most media devices.
Conclusion: BUY THESE EARBUDS! You won't be disappointed. Great price, great bass, great deal.
Best earbuds ive used November 1, 2008 The sound quality you get from these is great for the price. The earbuds itself is made with good quality but the wires are not. The wires are a bit too thin which i dont like.feels like i gotta be care with it. I actually missed a phone call because i couldnt hear it ringing while these were in my ears and i was sitting right next to it.haha. Make sure not to turn up the volume too high or else you wont be able to hear anything around you.
Good sound but...... October 30, 2008 These earbuds have great sound but.... unfortunately they are not very dependable. I have already gone thru two sets with the same issue. One of the buds stops working. The sound only comes thru one ear. Now I would expect this if they are treated rough but I was very careful with both sets. For the same issue to happen with both sets would mean there is a flaw in the design. If they continued to work these would be a 5 star rating.
Not Durable October 29, 2008 I had these headphones for about 2 months before they stopped working in one ear. Though the sound quality was good, I don't think it is unreasonable to expect a little longer life out of them.
good sound October 24, 2008 Good sound for the price. Fit is important, especially for flights or riding a bike. The thin cord tangles easily though....
