Headset review October 9, 2008 These headphones are a great concept, I just happen to be the unlucky one that got a pair that did not work, but had to return for a refund.
Great Product September 30, 2008 great sound - exceeded my expectations - I'm planning to buy a second one for my other TV...
inexpesive and useful September 15, 2008 Just bought this wireless earphone.Set up was a breeze. Do get slight static in the background with my TV Sony Triniton Wega there are 2 channels but switching does not help. The other channel is just loud static. Did catch music from a neighbour while I was trying to listen to the TV while cooking. Overall Sound is ok headset slips if you move around but the material looks good and worth the $54 I paid for it.
Great buy - great product September 10, 2008 Once I put the batteries in correctly (they go in the headphones themselves), these headphones worked like a champ. I tried them with my TV, my old boom box, my iPod, and my old Pioneer receiver. They worked with all of those devices. The sound is great - clear and balanced. The main wire that connects the base to the device has standard red and white banana-type plugs for audio components but comes with TWO adapters - one for mini-plug (like your ipod) and one with that larger type you see on a lot of receivers (like my Pioneer). (The adapters piggy back on each other for the Pioneer headphone jack). Plus you might be able to plug the non-adapted plugs into an audio out, although I did not try that (I like to stick with jacks specifically labeled for headphones). Hint: there is a tuner wheel on the headphones - if you think the phones aren't working or the sound is bad or not enough volume, fiddle with the tuner to get the best sound - it made a big difference! I like the fact these take standard batteries so I don't have to rely on a charger. One thing I had not realized was that not only do you need batteries in the headphones - the base unit also needs to be plugged in to an electrical outlet (if I had thought long enough about it I might have figured this out but I didn't). I can use these throughout my 2000 sq ft condo with no sound distortion or loss. Very pleased with this purchase. I can finally play Guitar Hero III without annoying my neighbors and pets!
WOW! September 5, 2008 We pay extra for names. Bose, Mercedez Benz, Sennheiser . . . We pay because we have come to expect the best from such brands. Well, Sennheiser has definitely lived up to its name. These headphones are astounding. I was angry that someone stole my good JVC headsets that I've had for a zillion years. I was upset that I had to fork over more money because money has a way of disappearing. I am definitely not upset now. This was well worth the money. Set up only took a few minutes and was pretty straight forward and the sound is outstanding. Reception is perfect all through my (tiny) house and though the instructions warn of possible interference from other electronic devices, I have not found this to be a problem at all.
I would expect to pay at least double for this quality of sound. If I had to, I'd do it again with a smile on my face.
