5 out of 5 stars CABLE TV/INTERNET SIGNAL BOOSTER BY MOTOROLA   November 3, 2008
I have a long cable run from the street to my house and then split the signal among 4 tv's and the cable modem & router. Comcast techs told me the signal was weak but had no solutions. As a result, I could not receive most digital channels and we had nearly constant drops of the internet signal.

The booster worked out of the box exactly as described and expected. I installed it just ahead of the point where my incomming cable splits. All the Comcast digital chanels now appear without pixilation and sharper analog as well. There are no more dropoffs from the cable modem with the signal improving from -13.5 to +1.5. Great product and great value.

1 out of 5 stars Not so great   November 3, 2008

I have yet to see much difference in the signal boost that this unit purports to give. I bought this on the positive reviews of others and a hope that I could improve a poor Comcast signal - wrong on both accounts.

5 out of 5 stars Happy at last   November 3, 2008
For years I had trouble with my comcast cable service. Local channel were
not clear and even after having comcast service out several times the problem was never resolved. I saw the ad for the booster, I said why not
give it a try. Am I glad I did. Now my picture is clear on all channels.
I highly recommend this product.

5 out of 5 stars Does what it says it will do.   November 2, 2008
Bought this because I only saw the guide on our digital cable, no picture. After this was installed not only got a great picture but very little lag time switching channels as well as short lag time accessing DVR and On Demand. I have Comcast cable.

4 out of 5 stars Boosting analog signal OUT of the DVR to multiple TV sets   October 30, 2008
I'm using this amo to boost the analog signal OUT of the DVR to multiple TV sets in lieu of renting multiple boxes for the game room, garage and two outdoor tv's. The results are OK. This amp is installed directly on the outlet of the DVR. The split occurs in the network junction box about 15' away. From there, the signals split 4 ways to the various TV's. When boosting to one TV only, ghosting is quote pronounced, however the colors are richer. When splitting to 4 TV's, the noise level is noticeable but ghosting is less pronounced. The picture on the shortest run (about 45' total) is the best quality, worst on the longest run (about 200'). Results are encouraging enough for me to continue experimenting. I can live with a less than perfect picture for these areas and it beats paying the cable company ungodly rental fees.
