3 out of 5 stars TRITTON SEE2 USB 2.0 TO SVGA   January 5, 2007

Easy to set up. The only problem I had was at first I tried to hook it up to a USB hub. When I went directly into my computer it worked fine. The only con I have is the monitor hooked up to the Tritton is slower.

4 out of 5 stars Does what I need   December 20, 2006

I bought a MacBook Pro to set up as dual boot -MAC OS/WIN XP. Then found out that the DVI port did not function reliably in windows (this is an Apple driver problem not a windows problem). Bought this to try and it seems to do everything I need. One problem though was the CD that comes in the package, it is one of those tiny little CDs - they do not go into the MAC Book superdrive, or more precisely they may go in but they do not come out. But it was no problem to go to the web site and download the install files. It did take a few minutes to get the resolutions set right.

If all you need is to use it as a second screen for Office apps or for powerpoint it works great and the price is right.

3 out of 5 stars Works as advertised, barely   November 4, 2006

Not a bad product but has serious issues. USB 2.0 just doesn't seem fast enough for a video card. The screen takes a long time to update and can't run 32bit resolution at 1280x1024. I used this product with a 19" Dell Ultrasharp, and it just didn't do the ultrasharp justice. Product is now sitting my drawer, gathering dust.

5 out of 5 stars Adds an 3rd screen to my laptop   November 3, 2006

Allows me to have 3 screen off a laptop. LCD, VGA output and this extra one. Very helpful when on the road

4 out of 5 stars Great device IF you consider its purpose   September 19, 2006

I got this for a home office to run dual 19" monitors from a laptop. For this purpose, it's GREAT to be able to have 2 1280x1024 monitors working together. These are primarily for business applications, so I'm not playing games or trying to watch movies. The extra screen real estate for working between multiple applications is fabulous, and with the dropping price of LCD monitors, I don't see any reason NOT to work towards this setup.

It DOES have a few odd quirks, such as when launching certain programs, the 'extended monitor' setting turns itself off for no apparent reason. It's simple to turn it back on (done from the taskbar), but by then it has alread collapsed all of your windows back to one screen.

Overall though, I'm extremely happy with the performance for the price!
