5 out of 5 stars Great Price   June 5, 2008

I spend a lot of time at Office Depot, Office Max, and Staples looking for things that I want to buy. When I find something that I want, I take down the name of the product, and buy a similar product on Amazon. I do this because I like to see what I'm buying before I buy it, and Amazon offers lower prices than the stores.

Case in point, a similar item sells for $20 at Office Max and $30 at Staples, sells for $6 on Amazon.

The USB to PS/2 converter works like a charm for my Microsoft Ergonomic PS/2 Keyboard. I don't have any problems with it. I have a Compaq laptop that runs on Windows Vista Business.

5 out of 5 stars low cost alternative to buying a new USB-only keyboard   May 8, 2008
I wanted to use my nice Gateway keyboard, with a PS2 plug, with my Dell desktop, with only USB ports. I hooked the two devices up with the Sabrent PS2 / USB adaptor, booted up the Dell, and immediately got WinXP recognizing a `new device'. My first few keystrokes with MS Word were a bit odd, showing up in purple font, but then they turned to black and from then on, all was good.

I did have trouble with the PS2 attachment working loose when shoving my PC back into its slot under my desk, with all the other wires and cables dangling from the back of my desktop tangling up and pulling one way or the other. So if you try the adaptor out and it's not working well, make sure you've got it securely attached to either port.

4 out of 5 stars Very good product!   April 5, 2008
Excellent! it works perfectly with my 17" Compaq Presario. I originally bouthgt it to use it with my KVM cable, but it just don't do it. I know it doesn't say it does, but it would be even better if so.

This splitter was everything we needed. Our HP Pavilion Laptop was able to use this to add a normal size keyboard and mouse.

1 out of 5 stars Did not work   December 8, 2007

I tried two, neither worked well. The first one would not transmit modifier keys reliably, which made logging in via alt-ctrl-del challenging. I exchanged that one for a different one. After a short time it would just stop transmitting keyboard signals altogether. The typos on the packaging should have tipped me off that this was not the best product.
