If you have a need to convert the S-video signal to a RCA signal, the simple device works.
You'll need a powerful RCA cable to transfer the signal from the PC to the TV, however, otherwise you'll get a unclear picture.

I use this to watch downloaded TV from itunes on my TV, just connect to S-video out, attach the RCA cable, and adjust your computer resolution Very easy and works fine.
