Only good for one thing November 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The main problem with this device is it's software. The software will disconnect you from the wireless network you are currently using to try and search for adapters in the area. It then connects and works fine, but then you have no internet. It does allow for a wired passthrough, but then you need to run an ethernet cord to your TV area. I have not tried the audio transmittion feature, but I think they've fixed that in a recent software update. This device uses high compression to transmit the picture over the limited 802.11g bandwitdh leaving the image fuzzy.
Unless you need the audio to transmit, buy IOGEAR's Wireless USB to VGA adapter intead. It's the same price, but goes much faster (480Mbps) supporting higher frame rates, quality, and resolution. Plus, it doesn't interfere with your internet wireless.
Good quality September 14, 2008 The video quality is very good and clear. No noise when I used it 30ft away. There was a new firmware and s/w update soon after I purchased this. The new version is even better and easier to use.
Connection problems! December 30, 2007 4 out of 16 found this review helpful
I am returning this device to Amazon. The only outputs it has are a DVI and a VGA for video, and a mini-headphone jack for audio. The instruction sheet says it connects to "any TV". I have Sony and Sanyo TVs, both HDTV, and neither accepts any of these inputs. I chose not to buy additional adapters and try to jury-rig this to my TV. I just can't imagine why they did not design this with any of the standard TV connections.
