If you want to pay $7.45 per 4x6 print for the first 20 you make, then this is the printer for you. Additional 4x6 prints will cost you $0.75 each.

I am a photographer with several of Epson's Professional Printers so when it came to selecting a family printer that we could use to print snaps, Epson was an easy choice for me to make. Oh how wrong I was.

This printer is a complete waste of your money and if you have a green - i.e. you care about the environment - bone in your body you will be especially upset. Epson have the starter cartridge set print about 20 sheets. You will then need to spend about 40USD buying a new print pack which includes ink and 150 sheets of additional paper. Forget that you still have 30 sheets from your original starter pack. The new cartridge will come nowhere close to printing the claimed 150 sheets, managing only 50 to 90 sheets.

So now you have the original 30 sheets left from the starter pack and now you are adding between 60 and 100 sheets left over from your first full print pack. Buy another print pack... and repeat.. Sigh.

There was a time when Epson would have been embarrassed to release a product like this.

5 out of 5 stars Great little photo printer   September 19, 2008
I was looking for a simple photo printer to easily and quickly print photos and this little printer has been awesome! My girlfriend can can quickly print her shots and I have a nice, easy way to print proof shots. It's not my Epson 3800, but for the cost and ease of use, it's definitely worth the money.

5 out of 5 stars Love it!   September 14, 2008
I absolutely love this printer! I use it for scrapbooking and printing pictures out for my family. The quality is just amazing and the speed is incredible. I love both the glossy and matt paper.
