Makes MSI Wind U100 even better November 11, 2008 I plugged this into my MSI Wind U100 (took about 5 minutes) and noticed an immediate improvement in performance. I then went on to install Windows Vista on my machine, and it runs perfectly. If you have an MSI Wind U100, or are considering buying one, you must install extra memory (but please look into what this will do to your warranty - I have read mixed accounts on the web about how doing so will impact your ability to return your MSI Wind laptop)
Fast ram, good price September 8, 2008 I build laptops and desktops for a living and a family member needed to increase the ram in their Asus notebook. This stick did the job just fine.
doa August 30, 2008 this chip was defective. I would get blue screen of death when it was installed.
Very Easy July 30, 2008 Got the card, turned the computer off, turned it over, took off the cover (1 screw), pushed in the card, installed cover, righted, and turned back on. Looking at "About this Mac" verified that the memory was "there". Advice - the card can go in two ways. Use a flashlight to look at the connector inside and look at the card and it is obvious which is the right way to insert.
Works perfectly on my eeepc July 21, 2008 There was no trouble at all installing this ram in my new eee pc, and it was recognized immediately by the system. Works like it should.
Of course, if you install a 2g or larger module, you will need a custom kernel to recognize all the memory (with linux. I have no idea about windows). But 1g has been large enough for my needs so far, even with 0 swap.
