Monster HDMI 1000HD Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable (1 meter) September 20, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
As the saying goes,"Seeing is believing" this is the best HDMI cable for both Audio and Video for HD Sound and Video I have had. I was using 700HD and 400HD respectively. The results are both astounding and awesome when I switched over to 1000HD.What's more, is that I only paid a quarter of a price purchasing from Amazon.Com compared to what I would have paid in Singapore. Thank you Amazon for making my dream come true.
great cable September 17, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
It's pricey, but I spent half the amount on a Sony cable and it could not transfer the signal quick enough and the picture would get really distorted. So i decided to get the Monster and have not had a problem. If you are willing to cough up the extra cash, it will gurantee satisfaction.
Don't believe the Monster hype September 12, 2008 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
A Monster HDMI 1000HD cable is the exact same cable as a HDMI 1.3 Category 2 cable. A HDMI 1.3 category 2 cable performs at 340 MHZ, which is equal to speeds of 10.2 Gbps boasted by Monster. You shouldn't have to pay more than $10 dollars for a 2 meter HDMI category 2 cable, which will equal and even outperform Monster's high end cables.
Great equipment at cometitive prices. September 8, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I had just purchased a new TV at Circuit City and bought the Monster MC700HD-4M HDMI High Speed Digital Audio Video Cables there as well. When I found the exact same one for less I quickly ordered it and waited to confirm it was was I needed. Sure enough it was & I happily returned the original package to CC, & and now I can enjoy my new TV knowing I saved a few bucks. THANKS!
120hz requires higher bandwidth HDMI September 8, 2008 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
Im not an expert, but I have checked thoroughly enough to discern that yes "Digital is digital" for the most part, with the exception of 120hz. DVD and HD Cable boxes will work great with cheap HDMI cable, but if you want to utilize the 120hz feature (pretty much exlusive to blu-ray) then you need a minimum speed of 10gbps from your HDMI. This cable meets that requirement. 1.3v specifications do NOT require 120hz capability so cheaper 1.3v HDMI will NOT carry this.
On a seperate note, keep in mind that all HDMI lose their effectiveness over longer cable. My blu-ray player is about 20ft (in cable distance) from my tv and I have found that cheaper cable craps out at longer distances, but that Monster Cable still works effectively. Monster is "high-end" and like all things "high-end" its overpriced, but you get what you pay for. If you want the best, then get Monster. If you cant see the differnce or dont care about the difference between 120hz and 60hz, then buy cheap cables. I recommend Cables Unlimited, they are cheap and effective.
I give 4 out of 5 stars because its STILL overpriced, but it works for everything, wherther or not you NEED everything out of your high def is up to you.
