Great product May 16, 2008 I bought this card to replace the lower version 128MB of it that started giving problems. The new card works great. Zero problems. Easy to set up on windows XP. I love the many features of this card live multilpe desktops on the same monitor and selectable full screen s-video out. The colors are quite vivid and its processing muscle is quite good.
Great video card May 13, 2008 XFX PVT44AWANG GeForce 6200 256MB GDDR2 AGP 4X/8X Video Card (VGA/DVI/S-Video) My experience using Nvidia video cards have always been great. This one is not the exeption. It's a great card for it's price.
HELP! Does this works with Vista? May 10, 2008 0 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this video card from Amazon 4 months ago. I have 1 Dell machine running XP and 1 HP machine running Vista.
I wanted to install this on the Vista machine- but it won't fit in the slot!!! Does this work on Vista? is it compatible only with certain mother boards?
No GPU fan - be careful of heat problems April 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Until this card failed on me due to heat issues, it was a good price for performance.
My interal case temperature (Not CPU temp.) reached 80 - 82 degrees Farenheit over several hours; I left the PC on, went to work and air conditioner was off. Upon returning home, I noticed some glitches I assumed to be WinXP related and rebooted. The reboot never initialized graphics to the screen. Swapping out this card with my old 5700LE resolved this issue.
In summary, this card is good but without a GPU fan, will fail sooner than cards with a GPU fan.
Replacement for motherboard based graphics processing April 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This part was purchased to replace the integrated graphics controller on a packaged HP PC. The installation couldn't have been easier, I think if it could have, it would have jumped into the AGP socket on it's own, and just started up. Beautifully done installer. I have been around computing long enough to recall when it was nearly terrifying to do anything to an upgrade.
I wish I could say the same for the vendor, computer brain. This is a third party reseller, making them the fourth party? (or is that me) with many twists and turns in the hand-off from one company to another. Since they are all likely making money, I would suppose the actual net OEM price must have been about 2 bucks. I should shop around more. Lackluster performance, I was told the same shipping story several times, but in novelistic and twisted ways. The phone is answered on the third ring by a real person, although...hmmm! The part did show up in a new box, and in new condition, so it ends well.
