Great QAM tuner November 12, 2008 Great product. Dual tuners, and multipe PC access to the unit, what more could you ask for? Very well integrated with the Vista Media center. Highly recomend using it on a wired network. 802.11n may work, if your signal is strong enough.
Works great. Excellent concept. October 30, 2008 This box works great once it is set up. I like the idea that it comes without software and documentation, that way you get the latest version available when you install it. I have tried it with Vista Ultimate, Sage TV and Media Portal. It worked fine with all of them. The picture quality cannot be faulted in any way, it is VERY good.
Great Product October 28, 2008 Great product! Works very well with Vista Media Center with TV Pack. MC finally lives up to its potential. You do need to have some understanding of how this stuff works which you can gain from reading the forums. Unique hardware Bravo ~ Silicon Dust. You can add TV Pack to any capable computer "Search" for TV Pack information and download it.
Best QAM/ATSC tuner on the market October 25, 2008 Not much to be said here that hasn't been mentioned in the dozens of online reviews for the HDHR. If you are looking to setup an HTPC that can receive OTA HD or unencrypted digital QAM then the HDHR is for you. The picture quality if remarkable. One word of caution, Silicon Dust has a recall on one of the earlier power supplies that shipped with the unit. Go to their site and make sure you have the right one. They'll ship it to you for free if necessary. Otherwise you risk the HDHR locking up during your favorite TV show.
HDHomeRun Worsks great October 18, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've been using this with a Vista Media Center (x64) system for about a month and a half. This product works like a charm, it was fairly easy to setup and integrate with Media Center. I've recorded two HD channels at a time without issue since installing it & am very happy with the product.
