5 out of 5 stars Great Earbuds for the Price   November 19, 2008
I got a pair of these with my pepsi points, and turned around and ordered a pair for my husband and daughter, they were so comfortable.

4 out of 5 stars Comparision with the Apple white phones   November 17, 2008
I have medium sized ears and these fit perfectly as do the white Apple headphones (which I also like). The Coby's are more comfortable than the Apple brand due to the soft ear cups. They truly do reduce background noise at restaurants, coffee shops, etc. due to the seal they form in the ear canal.

I can not speak about how long they will last since I've only had mine for several weeks, but it seems like the soft ear cups might tear after a while. So for running I wear the Apple brand because those are quite durable. I like the cord on the Apple ones better, I think it's a perfect gauge which barely gets tangled. The Coby cord is slightly lighter gauge and does tend to tangle. I give the sound quality advantage to the Coby's.

I would recommend these phones to a friend due to their light weight, comfortable design, decent sound, and great price. You just might want to pick up two in case one breaks down the road (every headphone is susceptible to breakage in one way or another). I keep my pair of Coby's in my laptop bag to listen to tunes off my computer and keep my Apple headphones on my iPod Shuffle for exercise and walking around town.

4 out of 5 stars Good sound, comfort lacking   November 16, 2008
Well, upon first appearance they look okay. The first negative I noticed was that there is no little thing on the wire to protect against tangling. They do tangle. The sound was atrocious when I first started using them, but apparently there is an "breaking-in" period because they got much better later.

Indeed, they sound very nice. Not life-changing, but certainly improved from the standard iPod headphones, and the isolation-style earbuds don't necessarily block everything out, but they do help get the sound directly into your ear. Unfortunately, I really DO NOT like the way they fit in my ear. I always feel them slipping out if I smile or turn my head and it drives me CRAZY! I probably would not have gotten them if I'd known that. Of course, there aren't many alternatives.

So overall, the sound is certainly better, but the comfort is a pretty big sacrifice for better sound.

4 out of 5 stars not the best fit   November 15, 2008
These are super cheap headphones (<$6 as of now), and you kinda get what you pay for..

Pros:
Cheap
Decent sound
Decent length cord

Cons:
not the best fit- they tend to fall out easily and become increasingly uncomfortable the longer they're on.
almost no isolation- but what did u expect from a pair of $6 buds?

If you have $6 to spare then I suggest you buy these. They're decent enough. Don't pay more than $10 though.

Tip: I switched the buds (left on right ear & vice versa) and they felt more comfortable. Give it a try.

1 out of 5 stars What is this????   November 13, 2008
Would've given no star if it's possible... This thing does not fit at all! There's no way for it to stay in my ears. I was out of earphones so I tried wearing them for about 3 nights. My left ear hurt extremely for the next two days - I didn't even think it was possible for it to hurt that bad. But then again, these are $5... not surprising..
