4 out of 5 stars Some details   February 25, 2006

First, the box comes with two stands. So ordering "1" means you get a pair.

Second, mounting speakers: They have a small platform on top of the vertical riser, that has four holes in it that you can run screws into the bottoms of your speakers, if you want. The platform is about 2"X3". Then, there's a bracket of sorts that sticks out the back and runs up the back of your speaker, through which you can slot a bolt(included with washers) and that bolt would mount into the threaded thing on the back of your speakers, if you have one. They give you two thread sizes. The bracket runs about 5" up the back, and is slotted the whole length, so no matter where your hole is, it should work. If they don't include YOUR size bolt, just run to the hardware.

Now my logitech 5500's did not have the bolt hole on the back, so I just used the double stick foam they included, and then zip tied the speaker base to the stand's platform and voila. Very nice.

If they could have pulled out a better mounting scheme for MY particular speakers, I'd have given them a 5!!!

Enjoy.

They look silver in the picture, but actually they are more like dark gray and not shiny.

These speaker stands I found elsewhere on the internet for $79+. To be frank, they aren't worth that much. But, they are well worth the twenty something price I paid at Amazon. Great product. Very well made and, good looking.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent stand   August 12, 2005

I purchased my first stand from Walmart a month ago and I was amazed with the quality of the stand. Even though my speakers are small (4x4x4inches), the stand seems robust enough to hold bigger speakers. In addition, the speaker wires run into the stand which makes the stand look even more professional. Furthermore, what I really liked is that the stand does not look cheap and is as good as the expensive ones.

I ordered another one from Amazon but because Amazon was too lazy to ship the stand (waited 5 days) I canceled my order and bought it from Walmart.

These were a great buy! I have pretty big Yamaha speakers that are about 8" wide and 6" tall, I was worried that they might be too big or heavy for the stands. Everything worked perfetly without modifications. They look pretty good too.
