 A colossal waste of time - Home Decorators is inept, unsympathetic. September 4, 2008

I love Amazon and didn't realize they were passing my order off to this flimflam Home Decorators company. They treated me like a nuisance rather than a customer. I got my money back, but lost a full month of my life, and I'm right back where I started -- DESKLESS.
I placed the order August 2nd. When it hadn't arrived by the promised date, August 12th, I tracked the package -- FedEx's Web site said it had been delivered! I called FedEx, who said the tracking number I was given was incorrect and to call Amazon. Amazon pawned me off to Home Decorators, to some guy named Tony, who acted concerned and promised I'd be contacted with an explanation within 48 hours.
A full WEEK later, after an angry reminder them I was still waiting for my desk, Tony responded with an apology and ANOTHER promise that I'd be contacted with an explanation within 48 hours. I replied that that was unsatisfactory and recapped the situation, as he didn't seem to recall the nature of my complaint! He replied that someone would contact me (within 48 hours) to re-place the order.
Well, no such luck. Another first-name-only agent E-mailed me: we're sorry you unsatisfied with our product, we have begun the refund process. Unsatisfied? I never even SAW the darn thing! What was unsatisfying was Home Decorator's inability to resolve a simple problem. VERY disappointing.

We purchased this desk about a month ago because we needed a small computer desk for our bedroom. After shopping around for a few weeks, I finally decided on this one because it was a perfect fit for the tiny space we had. The price was not bad (even with shipping) and the vertical space gives us lots more room. It was easy to put together and it feels very sturdy, even without anchoring it to the wall, though I still would like to eventually. The main surface is wide enough to fit 2 laptops. As I write this, I have our laptop, its mouse, a lamp, a magazine, and a cup of coffee with room to spare! I highly recommend!

This is a wonderful desk. Extremely sturdy, with plenty of shelf space for printers, manuals, and the like. It's unique enough to stand out, but the design is also simple enough that it won't clash with lots of different decors. Also, it was able to be assembled in under an hour (the instructions are on a single page, which most people who assemble things for a living will tell you is usually a good sign).
Just a few things that should be mentioned: I have a 22 inch flat panel monitor, and it *just* fits (there's maybe an inch and a half to spare between the top of the monitor and the bottom of the first shelf). If the base of your monitor is higher than 3inches from the desk, it's not gonna fit, so be aware.
Also, if you live someplace where it's more likely for the walls to be less than perfectly straight, you may want to think twice. Part of the sturdiness of this desk depends on being able to lean the top of it perfectly flush to the wall. The same goes for uneven floors. You may be better off taking a pass if either of these things are an issue.

Love this desk! I had a small space so purchased this and I love it, it's easy to assemble, however sturdy! Took 10 minutes to put together, it has one small nick in the wood, but I can live with that. I would recommend for anyone. Looks stylish!

I love this desk. This desk have so much "because I can" attitude. Don't like the little iMac in the picture fool you. This desk can actually hold 2 19" LCD (non-wide screen) monitor side by side and still have some room.
Good:
* Save space
* Good looking
* Very unique design
* Solid build
* Well package for shipping
* the Wood is very heavy and does not look cheap
* very easy to put it together (It took me less than 30 mins with powertools)
Bad:
* none so far
Good product, strongly recommend to everyone who need a computer desk in a compact environment
