OK November 2, 2008 Its an ok safe, the electronic lock is excellent. However, the safe is really made to be screw into something. There are four holes in the back and at the bottom.
best 75 dollar safe! October 30, 2008 This is a very safe safe. The interior light is nice. Bolt's down easily. Haven't had a problem with it yet.
save your money August 29, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I guess for the money it is a good security box that might slow down a theif. But if you really want your stuff not to be stolen this is not the way to go. It's to easy to pry loose and seems tinny. Just don't put anything to valualble in it. It makes a good deturrent so hide your stuff somewhere else so when they take "Your Safe" thinking they scored your stuff will be safe. Mine was missing parts. If it was not so cheap I would have returned it. But it does work and an ok deal at the price. Hope this helps, Ricky P.
Keypad is Worthless, Waste of Money August 2, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Maybe we have a faulty safe, but I can insert the key and unlock the safe at any given time, regardless of having put in my password on the keypad. The keypad seems to serve no purpose at all. Waste of money.
A little disappointed July 24, 2008 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I had a break-in about 3 weeks ago and it certainly prompted me to take security issues seriously. I got this safe to keep credit cards, important papers, keys and a small handgun. The safe is roomy and sturdy, but I don't like the key set-up. There is an over-ride key which basically makes this safe totally unsafe and unsecure! Any criminal could pry the lock open in a matter of seconds! Also, the safe is mountable to the floor or a wall stud, but the safe is 11 inches wide and most houses are built with 16 inches between the studs! So, only one side of the safe can be bolted into wall studs. A leaning safe is not pretty to look at and it ticks me off that I may have to bolt it to the floor and mess up my hardwood flooring! Would I buy this one again? No! I'd invest more money and get a hotel safe with a swipe card/key pad only set-up. With this type of safe, I wouldn't mind messing up my dam* floors!
