Garmin Nuvi 350 October 20, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I didn't love the nuvi as much as I thought. Here are some issues I've encountered: 1. Takes forever for it to locate satellite (and I live in the city) 2. The touch screen keyboard isn't accurate. Whatever letter I press, I get the letter below it. Happens all the time with the same letters! Takes about 3-5 tries before it gets it right and I don't have big fingers! Also typing with my nail doesn't work either! Very annoying!! 3. Unless it's because I have an older model and the maps aren't updated, the directions to my house and the highway are not accurate.
I don't fully trust the nav and I still google the directions and that was the whole point of buying a nav!
Good GPS, Great MP3 October 19, 2008 While we are loving this little guy as an MP3 player, we are not happy with the length of time it takes to find the signal when it is first turned on.
Good - not perfect October 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I works as advertised. It knows the street names and the gal doesn't get mad when I don't follow her instructions precisely. My only disappointment is that you are limited to one waypoint. My previous i-Way allowed any number of waypoints which was very desirable for my meals-on-wheels deliveries. Finds itself quickly.
Even I can use it! October 18, 2008 Being of that generation who finds all high tech stuff impossible to understand, I was delighted how easy the Garmin is to use. I took it on a trip to Lexington, KY, and for the first time ever it was a joy to drive around a new city, without fear of getting lost in the "wrong" neighbourhood. I still cannot get over how wonderful it is. Worth every penny!
Great Product October 18, 2008 This is a great GPS, and is especially easy to use. It is easy to hear and understand the spoken directions, and we wouldn't think of going into unfamiliar territory without it.
