5 out of 5 stars Nuvi 350 is the greatest!   May 13, 2007
This new Nuvi 350 has made life easier for a non-technophile! I had a Garmin Street Pilot, but it was very complicated. This one is small, simple to use and just right!

Inconsistent. If I stray only a bit off the defined path the directions tell me to turn off at the next intersection and return home or some other place. The maps are of little use; the directions better, but I am not willing to put blind faith in this mechanism nor is my wife.

5 out of 5 stars Nuvi 350   May 13, 2007
This item is great. I moved from Miami, FL where 90% of the streets are straight for miles and numbered sequentially to the Carolinas update area. Here the streets are named, there are very few straight road, mostly curves and hills, the name are not in any sequence, etc. Lots of good help getting around in a location where you are not familiar. This unit also has many other functions and capabilities for traveling related software via SD cards, such as language guides, travel guides, etc. This model also allow you to carry your MP3 music and jpeg files on your trip.

5 out of 5 stars The best GPS !!   May 13, 2007

I think this the nicest and most intelligent purchase I made in two years from Amazon. The only downside of this machine is that you become very dependent on it, eventually forgetting names of streets that you used to remember when you used google maps or yahoo maps to get directions.

It works flawlessly, giving the most accurate directions. I heard someone say in one of the reviews, that if you want to put this machine to test, try using it in LA. I live in LA and it works just fine. I have had no complains whatsoever, and trust me the battery life is very good. I have an old car and it has some electrical problem that doesn't let me charge the GPS, so I use the battery 99% of the time. I have also used it in North Carolina when I was in vacation. It worked amazingly.

I did not go for Garmin nuvi 360 because of the negative reviews I read about it's bluetooth functioning. I also thought that not every time you would use your bluetooth in a GPS machine, most people who use bluetooth have their bluetooth headsets, so I was not very convinced with it's utility. I loved when the price came down just recently.

One of my friends just bought a new car with inbuilt GPS navigation system, and I noticed that that machine needs a lot of technology advancement. My nuvi 350 is incredibly user friendly and easy to use as opposed to the machine in my friend's car. I don't have any complains with this little gadget and would recommend it to anyone who wants to get a perfect GPS machine for an affordable cost.
