Easy to Use May 8, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This GPS is very easy to use and intuitive. The MP3 player works well, thereby allowing me to listem to music and have the music interrupted for directions, a very convienent feature.
Changed my life! May 7, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have to say: this product changed my life. I am notorious for getting lost with even the most simple of directions, which makes me also notorious for being late. I am a sales rep and would have to cross reference various online map searching sites just to try and get accurate directions - and still ended up getting lost due to missing street signs or construction/traffic issues. That is a thing of the past now. This unit makes getting to my destination effortless and saves me a ton of time and guesswork. A great function is the restaurant and gas searches. If I am hungry or out of gas and in an unfamiliar area, I just do a quick search for the closest restaurants or gas stations in the area and I get great results with no need to drive around aimlessly or stop and ask strangers for directions. It would have been nice to get a manual with the unit - it is available online, but the packaging only includes a quick reference guide for the most basic of funtions. There are lots of other things that you will find you can do with this unit but you have to download the manual or get lucky. Also, occsasionally, the unit will decide to recalculate your route as if you've made a wrong turn, but you haven't deviated from the route in any way. It always works out, but is a little worrisome when it is happening. Perhaps I just need to update my unit? Overall, well worth the price and super portable.
Ok for the price May 7, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
it's a very useful device, voices are clear and good to unterstand, routing is ok in 9 out of 10 cases, sometimes i was sent on routes which were not the best ones, but that's fine. touchscreen is top. an issue is that the device sometimes needs A LOT of time to acquire satellites, which is pretty annoying. especially when you haven't used it for a while. i think its kind of a firmware problem, bc its not location dependend. overall, i have to say, i dont regret that i have bought this device.
Garmin Nuvi 350 May 7, 2007 Great Product. Loads fast. However, you need to know your local traffic flow because it will give you the shortest distance but not the best route.
Nuvi Vroom! Vroom! May 7, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Small, easy to use, purchase driven by other reviews. The product works as expected - right out of the box. Intuitive touch screen, no learning curve. Bought this product in April 2007 and it did not know my address in Orlando that exists before April 2006. Also, when there is no destination provided, it shows the driving speed - this is good, but it remembers your max speed - this could be good news for a cop and bad news for you.
