Easy to use -- a must have for the frequent traveler February 22, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This has become one of my favorite toys to have -- I especially love using it to get around traffic. It quickly finds alternative directions and gets me to where I need to go. My only complaint is that I would like better instructions on how to use the dashboard disk.
Garmin Nuvi 350 February 20, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this for myself in July 2006 as I was always getting lost around LA where I've lived for 10 years. It has been a miracle for me as now I can navigate myself around without printing out mapquest maps in advance or calling my husband at work. It is easy to learn to use and light weight enough to take on travel. The only negatives have been that sometimes it gets stuck in a previous location base and when you are looking for a gas station in another city, it does not give you accurate directions. It also takes a few minutes at times to find the satelite. Lastly, it can get obsolete quickly in cities that are growing quickly such as Las Vegas. I took it on a trip to LV and it had incorrect directions, luckily I had thought to print out some mapquest directions before I left just as a backup which I used afterall. You also have to pay to update your maps that come out once a year which I have yet to do. I paid $600 for it last year and now it is only $449 so you can't beat the price for this model even though better ones are now out. If you haven't had a navagation unit before nor have one in your older model car, the current price for the 350 can't be beat (particularly if you are navagation challenged like myself).
NUVI 350 Rocks .... February 20, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This GPS was awesome. My non-geek wife really appreciated it on her recent trip. It was extremely accurate and easy to use. 8hrs of battery are nice too. We preload our addresses and take off. Road trips will never the same! I highly recommend this product to anyone that needs to navigate streets solo. You'll save time and gas and you'll get lost less often, you'll know about how long it will take before you arrive.
Awesome ! February 20, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is my first GPS purchase which I made after a lot of research and talking with my friends. I narrowed my choices to Nuvi 350 and 660. I decided on 350 because I wasn't sure how much I will using the GPS. Screen size of 350 is good enough and display is excellent. I was a bit worried about audio for such a small size but it was sufficient. Maps are very accurate and signal recpetion is great. Overall, I am very satisfied with my choice and purchase.
very helpful and easy to use February 18, 2007 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have found my garmin nuvi to be easy to use and helpful. I have even used the mp3 player on it, which i thought having an ipod i would never use. I have not tried downloading maps, they seem awfully expensive for places that I will be viditing for 2 or 3 weeks. Though only issue I have had with it was user error. I forgot that the flap in the back was the antenna and I thought the GPS could not find a signal when it was my fault not raising the antenna.
