Pros and Cons of my Garmin Nuvi 350 February 6, 2007 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
PROS 1. VERY VERY easy to use. Intuitive! 2. The voice that calls out the turn by turn direction is very clear 3. Large touch screen buttons make it very easy to enter street address and navigate the menus 4. The price is a bit high but I think it is worth it when I am lost in a remote part of town and trying to get home! 5. The feature of looking up nearby gas station, stores, attractions work very well 6. Very slim, sleek and lightweight. It fits nicely in my purse. 7. It tells you how many miles you have until you reach the next turn. It tells you approximate time to your destination and it's very accurate!
CONS 1. It takes a good 50 seconds to 1 min to find the satellite to locate when I am current at and where it needs to take me. I want to start driving so I am on the road at this point so by the time it finds the satellite signal it has to take 5 seconds to recalculate 2. It has told me to turn onto a certain street or take a certain freeway exit when I am still a good 2 miles away! So that is a bit confusing. So then I have to look down at the unit to see how many miles to the place where I am suppose to turn. 3. It pulls up the nearby attractions but there doesn't provide a description of what it is. It would be helpful if it tells me a little about that attraction. 4. The MP3, Global maps are all features that you have to purchase at an additional cost.
Great GPS System! February 5, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is an awesome GPS system. I have had two previous GPS systems built in the dash, and this one is definitely superior, not to mention easier to use. Screen and voices are very clear. It announces street names as well as names entered into my favorite locations. As you approach an intersection, it even tells you what the next signal is so no guessing what street is coming up. Very compact, easy to walk or drive with! Truly a great system for new or experienced users.

i feel much more secure driving with my garmin by my side. no fear of getting lost. it does not always know where new road construction and detours are, but even if i get off the directed path it can instantly recalculate and get me back on track. highly recommended for anyone who travels.
INSANE how good this puppy is... February 4, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I've owned 2 other gps's in the past, this baby ROCKS!! People complaining about POI's being up to date are nuts, please how can they keep it update every second of every day for the whole US... Give me a break... Navteq website has a link to reports errors or modifications for them to update, help out and stop whining...
NUVI 350 TEST February 4, 2007 4 out of 11 found this review helpful
THE NUVI 350 WORKS WELL IF IT IS UP TO DATE. MINE HAD A DELI ADDRESS THAT HAD BEEN CLOSED FOR YEARS. ON THE WAY TO MY GRANDSONS BASKETBALL GAMES IT HAD ME TURNING LEFT INTO A FOREST AND KEPT REPEATING TO MAKE A U TURN. I WENT TO MY OTHER GRANDSONS GAME AND IT WORKED VERY GOOD. I WILL HAVE TO DO SOME MORE TESTING TO MAKE SURE I'M SATISFIED WITH IT.
