Excellent product! Ultra portable (fits in a shirt pocket), Text to Speech feature is first rate (announces street names instaed of just turn right/turn left), very user friendly menus, good extra features like MP3 and JPG playpack, and extremely fast acquiring satellites. Great price and fast shipping--thanks Amamzon!

5 out of 5 stars Awesome   January 29, 2007
This is my first and only gps navigation device. I have played with a few before this and never found the reception reliable enough. After reading about SIRF I was willing to give it a try.. I am very happy I did.

Pros:
1) Gets enough signal 99% of the time, that's much better than other units I had tried.
2) Great screen. Touch screen interface is perfect.
3) The voice is well timed and easy to understand.
4) Directions and maps have always been accurate.

Cons:
1) Having a small, portable version that I can switch from one car to another is great but... you can alway have a bigger screen.

4 out of 5 stars I'm sure that there are better, but this one is great!   January 28, 2007

Very easy to start up, right out of the box. It froze-up the first time I used it. I reset the unit and have not had any problems again. I'm discovering many uses for it. I strongly recommend this unit to anyone who leaves the house to go anywhere new.

This is my first GPS but so far I am very impressed. It gets me where I want to go with ease and very easy to use. It was shipped in perfect condition and arrived when they said it would. Thanks Garmin and Amazon, this is a great product.

I bought my Nuvi about a month ago after I traded my '03 Honda w/navigation in for an '07 Honda w/o navigation.I am terrible with directions so I knew I had to replace it.I read all the reviews and decided on this Nuvi, and I am glad I did! I actually like this gps more than my previous Honda's navigation.
Spoken street names, ease of update, personal preference choices, and quicker recalculations are some advantages. I stick mine on the console area under my stereo and I always get a signal. This makes it easier to keep it mounted and hid when not in use. It's also nice that my husband can borrow it and use in his car when he needs to. The ONLY thing missing is a volume knob, you have to go to menu to adjust volume. That isn't a huge problem though.
I would have liked to have gotten the Nuvi 360 because of the bluetooth, but it wasn't worth the extra $100 or so to me.
