Great GPS October 26, 2008 When I first got the GPS I ran into issue with the setting to pull up the maps. Once I figured it out it has been a great handy tool. I have recently used it for my half way cross country travel and it has been very convenient. The night and day light setting makes it easy to view when driving. The other features I liked was it shows a dashboard of your average speed, total distance, compass, time taken for breaks and calculates the estimated arrival time. The only con I found it might take a while to receive the satellite when you first turn the power on, especially if you are starting around high rise buildings/garages/downtown.
worth getting again! October 24, 2008 I recently had my Garmin 350 stolen and I bought another since it was still the best in its price range. I love the portability of it and it speaks the street names so I don't have to look the screen to see where I have to turn exactly. I still don't have any regrets the second time around neither.
Retired travler October 24, 2008 It has been all it was advertised to be...
They could have sent along an Instruction Book, after a phone call to GARMIN they sent me one.
Better instructins would have been helpful, The bottom covers were a bit of concern, peal off or what?
In a short time "The ladies" voice became a bit 'garbled', Customer Support had me changee over to "The man's" voice. A needless phone call if an instruction book had been included.

GARMIN FIRST TIME USER October 23, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I RECEIVED MY GARMIN NUVI 350 JUST BEFORE MY TRIP TO GETTYSBURG. IT WAS VERY EASY TO SET UP AND I AM "TECHNOLIGICALLY CHALLENGED"! IT WAS A GREAT HELP AS WE DID GET OFF THE "BEATEN PATH" A FEW TIMES AND GARMIN BROUGHT US BACK (EVEN THOUGH SHE DOES SAY "RECALCULATING" IN A VERY DISGUSTED VOICE EVERY TIME YOU DON'T DO WHAT SHE SAYS!). IT WAS ABLE TO FIND LOCAL GAS STATIONS, RESTAURANTS AND POINTS OF INTEREST. I ALSO USED IT TO FIND A VERY OUT OF THE WAY CHURCH FOR A WEDDING. IT WAS A GREAT INVESTMENT AND I KNOW I WILL USE IT MANY TIMES IN THE FUTURE (EVEN IF I DO GET CHASTISED FOR WRONG TURNS!).
Works well October 21, 2008 This is my first handheld GPS unit. Purchased it with a recommendation from friend. Works very well and am very pleased with it. Recently used it on a trip from MA to VA and it worked great. Brought us right to our hotel. Also great for finding restaurants and other attractions. Easy to use and would highly recommend it.
