5 out of 5 stars Garmin Streetpilot c330   October 24, 2008
The Garmin Streetpilot c330 is an excellent navagation aid. I do recommend this product.

1 out of 5 stars bad choice for me   October 21, 2008
Trying to be cheap,I bought this refurbished unit. Alot of the road names where wrong. While driving along everything on the display would disappear except for the arrow indicating your vehicle. It's a discontinued model and a piece of junk.

2 out of 5 stars sent it back   October 21, 2008
I ordered this as a gift for my son. The first time he used it he got lost because the area he was going to was not even on the map. The gps itself seems nice. Large easily to read screen. But the maps are terribly out of date and updating costs $70. Not worth it. I ordered a new Garmin 4.5 inch screen for not much more than the cost of this one with the update. It came with the bean bag holder and is more slimline.

4 out of 5 stars What I liked and what I didn't   October 19, 2008

I just replaced a Garmin C330 with a TomTom One 130. The Garmin unit was only a year old and the battery would no longer charge. Granted, I wasn't careful to remove it from the dash when it was not in use as often as I could have done so but I don't think it's too much to expect such a unit to be so fragile. I was also displeased when I learned that the battery was not replaceable. We are living in a disposable society, folks! The straw that broke the back was that the accuracy suddenly dropped to nothing. I am SO GLAD that I got an extended warranty from Best Buy but I could have saved a little by just getting a two year policy.

I replaced the unit with a TomTom One 130 which I generally like but there is one feature I took for granted with the Garmin that I'm really missing. The Garmin let me navigate to virtually any arbitrary favorite location without much trouble, even if I ended up using roads it knew nothing about. On the other hand, the TomTom refuses to navigate even though I saved the favorite while sitting in the parking lot I wanted to remember! I hoped I was doing something wrong but TomTom Support claims this is working as designed and I have to save an address on the road closest to my favorite. What a crock! This is a design flaw and I'm already starting to miss my old Garmin.

I used it once, most words it said on my way is: lost the satellite connection..... I have to use my map that I printed out to find out which way should I go to....
