I just bought Garmin 660 last month. everything is perfect except some addresses have 500 ft deviation from the original address.

5 out of 5 stars We don't get lost anymore   December 28, 2007
Buying the nuvi660 was the best purchase we made recently. It is very easy to operate, and helps us drive with confidence. the screen size is good.

Since we are moving to a new area which we are not familiar with, having the GPS is essential. We chose this one because of the size of the screen and for the POV (we purposly didn't get GPS built in the car because we didn't like their POV. we wanted to see where we are in relation to the road, not an ovehead view), and the fact that it tells you the name of the street to turn to (not just turn left now, but turn left to Main street).

It mounts easily on the window, and we have used the MP3 player as well.

5 out of 5 stars Love it !!   December 28, 2007
Very happy with this product. Comes with lots of extra's. Works very well quick reroutes, good maps, easy to use.
The traffic update feature is especially valuable if you live in area with lot's of traffic. The option of using internal speaker or through your FM radio is very nice. Bluetooth works well with my cell phone. Can get a free audio book download for long trips and is also a nice MP3 player. Optional external storage media is a definite plus.
If you are looking for a highly functional and efficient GPS - take a look at this product.

This is my first GPS and I am totally satisfied with it.
It has the clearest screen for over 50's to see without glasses.
I am keeping it!

4 out of 5 stars Great GPS for the Money   December 28, 2007

After weeks of research, I finally decided to go with the Nuvi 660 over the TomTom. I am very happy with my purchase, even though there were a few disappointments:

1. Traffic alert is relatively useless. I'm glad it comes with a 3-month trial. I will not be paying for this service. So far this feature has been less than accurate, even in Metro L.A. where we have sensors everywhere. If this is the reason for picking this product, don't waste your money.

2. FM transmitter to listen to sound over car speakers. I have to change FM stations every 5 miles because of static. I finally got smart and used my tape adapter that plugs right into the headphone jack of the Nuvi. This makes the MP3s, phone calls, and Nav directions come in crystal clear through my speakers. But I am lucky I still have a tape deck in my car. Most newer cars don't have one anymore.

3. Efficiency of directions. Most times, the Garmin will direct me to a destination using strange logic- not what I would have chosen when looking up directions through Google maps. It will get you where you want to go eventually, but if you're looking for the BEST way to a location, you may be disappointed.

This is a great tool for those who don't want to bother looking up directions and simply want to travel on a whim. The bonus features of Bluetooth and MP3 playback are worth the extra money over the less optioned models (especially for the price I paid on Amazon). If you're looking to use this as a means to find more efficient, alternative routes to frequent destinations, then you will be disappointed.

Overall, I find this to be a great GPS and I'm happy with my purchase.
