 THE WORST PRODUCT EVER...I need to return it ASAP August 4, 2008

The cons are too many to mention and I really don't have that much time. Some of the worst ones are:
1. Extremely sluggish interface - it will pull your nerves to no end.
2. The worst route calculation. 2.5 miles route turns into 8.9 miles route.
3. The GUI is light years away from intuitive.
4. Search of POIs is impossible. Little test - try to find Target or Walmart - NO LUCK
5. Satellite detection is awful.
6. Traffic information is outdated. By trying to avoid traffic jam (that is no longer there) you will get redirected to another one that is currently going on.
7. The "realistic view" is valid only on some sections of some roads. Ventura County,CA, 101 Freeway does not have them for example. And 101 Fwy is kind of a popular fwy in CA.
There are many more cons but I am no longer wasting time on this piece of s***. If you want to experiment - buy it and I am sure you'll finish this review.
Conclusion: Total waste of money. In my opinion all the good reviews are written by company employees or stock holders. I don't think anyone can convince me of the opposite.

Point of interests are very less & not able to find walmart, costco.. and so on. We have to feed the complete address. Most times we will not be having complete address for POI. Weight of this model little bit more.

The ease of use is amazing. Set-up is fast and easy and the units accuracy is far better than any of the other units of it's kind on the market today.

I have been using TOM TOM for past 3 years which is a good GPS. I bought Navigon cause my Tom Tom map was old so i have invest in map or new GPS i went for GPS. Looking at NAvigon 7100 which offers best feature for money i bought it.
Well main feature of GPS is to take you from A to B, this is what 7100 doesn't do well it make me take internal route rather then HIGHWAY and also there is no way to change that. In Tom Tom every time u click on find alternative it will give u different route and u pick the best. This one doesn't give you that offer which is frustrating. They should have a at least given choice to select HIGHWAY and avoid internal road. Rest all features are great. I will return and buy again when they fix the ROUTING ISSUE which is the main feature of GPS.

This is my first purchase of a GPS. I bought this on review from a friend that loves his. I found it at other "stores" but the price was higher and I was leaving on a trip within 3 days and needed it sooner than they could ship it. I google searched and Amazon was at the top of the list and I couldn't believe the price. I had it shipped guarantee next day and it was still cheaper than the other stores. After programming it at home and reading over the manual I was ready for my trip. I do not have one single complaint everything from ease of use, functionality was top notch!! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a GPS replacement, or one like me who this is there first one.
