I live in the Minneapolis metro area and can personally say that updating my GPS with this database produced close to zero improvement. Many new developments which have been built and completed at least a year ago are still not in the database. Many new business that have been around for over a year are still not in the database. Most interstate and highway improvements in my area are not in the database, some of which have been completed for close to FOUR (YES 4) years.
My recommendation is to not waste your money purchasing this update. I guarantee you will not get your money's worth.

The software update was a major improvement in my Garmin operational capability. Prior to the update, the unit could not locate my home nor many of the streets in my neighborhood. In addition, there were several destination cities that were not identifiable. After the update, the GPS now recognizes these locations and knows where I live.

I'm glad they updated their GPS systems with these handy maps. You would not think change in a short period of time, but things change. These changes help a lot.
