5 out of 5 stars So easy to use!   March 3, 2006

This is such an easy unit to navigate through. My only complaint is that it came with a DVD to install the maps and I couldn't use my computer to load it as I only have a CD reader. After borrowing a friends, it is simple. Have used it several times and found roads we didn't even know existed.

no problems, works as expected and advertised, very happy with it - only slight annoyance of transferring maps got 1 star taken away, though you can buy a large capacity CF card and get rid of this problem.

5 out of 5 stars Better than I thought   February 24, 2006

I bought a few products before, I was not happy with any of them until I bought 2610. I do not care too much about the feature, I need the Accurate Map. I lives in a repid developing urban area, 2610 gives me the lastest map and most importantly it is very accurate. for the routing function, I think 2610 is doing great job, 99% time it gives me the route as the one I think based my experience. my wife loves it, never got lost after using it.

I've owned my 2610 for a little over a year. I drive all over Philadelphia and South Jersey. The 2610 is absolutely astounding in its ability to take me right to the door. I depend on it to make a living. I strongly suggest getting a 2.0 gig compact flash card for it. Microdrive is too slow. 2.0 gig is large enough to handle the entire mapset, all of North America, Canda, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico. Load it once, forget it until the next update. I paid $550 for mine used on ebay. It was retailing for $1100 then.
2610 works better than most in-dash gps systems. If you're going to drive in cities with tall buildings, external antennae is a must.
