5 out of 5 stars Exceptional product   April 12, 2007

This device is small, accurate, and very easy to use. I have traveled through three states with it and haven't gotten lost or missed a turn yet. The screen is plenty bright enough to read in daylight. The battery doesn't seem to last as long as advertised but the car adapter works just fine so that is no big deal. Voice instructions that call out street names are much better than the old style Left/Right type of directions common to other models. The SD memory card slot allows for convenient accessorizing. It's fairly resiliant too. I've dropped it a couple times and other than some surface scratches it works just fine. I've found that this Garmin is well worth the money, particularly if you are geographically challenged and travel a lot. Exceptional, highly recommended product!

5 out of 5 stars Very happy with this unit   April 11, 2007

This is a great GPS and a bargain. I paid $449 on Amazon but saw it on Amazon for $399 two weeks later. Amazon has 30 day price protection and gave me a credit for $50. I find this unit to be very accurate. I didn't need Blue Tooth since I already have multiple Blue Tooth headsets and the newer models were a bit expensive. This one does the job great. Its small size is very convenient and the battery lasts pretty long.

5 out of 5 stars GPS Perfection   April 10, 2007

This was our first experience using GPS and it was well worth what we paid for it. It was easy to use, although a written manual would have been helpful. It informed us of exits and turns early enough to execute them safely, and a few times in case we didn't hear it over our radio. The "arrival time" and "mileage" was so helpful in deciding when to stop in rest areas.

4 out of 5 stars Works well   April 9, 2007

I got this item 20 days back, was fiddling around with for while, took a trip to Boston from Phila, worked really gave timely turn-by-turn directions did not had to look at screen at all , text-to-speech rocked. Worked well in Boston downtown to find restaurants.

But I still could not figure how to set-up GPS on dash - seems to be clumsy. Trying to find alternative GPS holding device other than this issue, it is a good GPS for money.

Thanks
Mittal

5 out of 5 stars excellent tool when you travel to a new place   April 9, 2007

I had an excellent experience recently when I travelled to the east coast including Baltimore, Philadelphia, New Jersy, New York city, Providence, Dartmouth University, and finally Boston. Every place I went, I just typed in the name, or the address, or the intersection. Garmin nuvi 350 always took me there without any difficulty. It is for dummy. No need to search the map before hand or during the travel. It saves you lots of time or frustration.

Main concern is you might lose a sense of the direction if you do not pay attention to the direction sign on the screen and also it might cause distraction during driving. It is not working well inside a room or a tunnel. It is not much help for the rountine trip, ie everyday trip to work or your neighboring stores. It can not replace local knowledge.
