5 out of 5 stars HIGHLY reccommend. Well worth the money.   April 4, 2007

I got this as a present for my boyfriend, and we both LOVE it. It's the first in car GPS navigator for both of us, and it's definitly worth the money. It's useful for guiding long road trips and also finding faster routes during everyday driving around town. The small size, fast satelite receiption, text-to-speech, and the crisp, bright screen are what make this one great. Also, it keeps the kids busy looking at all the extra functions during long car rides. Only once has it led us in a less efficient route - most likely because we had it set on the highway preference. The search database is vast. Pleasantly surprised at how many stores, restaurants, ect. are listed. We've only had it for a couple weeks, but I couldn't imagine driving without it now!

UPDATE: The price dropped about $50 shortly after I purchased it, so I called up Amazon and they refunded the difference right away, no problems!

5 out of 5 stars Nuvi 350   April 4, 2007

My wife and I took our new friend Nuvi on a recent cross-country trip of about 1000 miles. We let Nuvi lead us all the way, including several short-cuts we wouldn't have noticed otherwise. A restaurant we were looking for in one city was in Nuvi's database, and our little friend took us right to it. We hadn't made hotel reservations in that city, so Nuvi gave us the name and phone number of several nearby motels. We called ahead, found one that had room for us, and Nuvi took us right there. It's a great little machine.

5 out of 5 stars Everything I hoped for and more   April 3, 2007

This is my first GPS but I was amazed at the accuracy and amount of data available in this machine. It's easy to find a nearby Post office, gas station, food, park etc. One item I do like is the portability of the unit. Fits nicely in a shirt or pants pocket. Very light and portable. Downloaded POIs, music & pictures with the software on the Garmin site with no problems.

5 out of 5 stars Turn right on Northland doctor???   April 2, 2007

I love my new toy but there seems to be one particular quirk in the text to speech software that just cracks me up. Considering that this is a road navigational tool I would think that Garmin would have realized that "DR" after a street name means "drive" not "doctor". Maybe they'll get it right in the next software update.

5 out of 5 stars Very useful with only a few quirks   April 2, 2007

This is my first GPS machine, and its working very effectively. It seems to be picking the most efficient rout 95+% of the times. The text to voice feature that announces street names is extremely valuable at complex junctions. I am so happy that I purchased another one as a gift for my brother.
