 Improved on the previous dash mount October 5, 2008
Had one before that worked but the power chord connection at the mount frayed and we had to replace it. I was pleased they changed the connector to the mount with a breakaway connection rather than the hard wired one on the previous mount.
We prefer this type mount because we can easily store the entire GPS in the center console to remove the theft temptation and it puts the unit in a better visible position to the driver. We had a window mount and I found it to be a big distraction and went to this one.

If I had received this mount with my unit initially I would not have had to purchase this one. It seems to suit every application except windshield and I found that unacceptable anyway. I whole heartedly recommend this mount to anyone who does not want to mount it permanently. I would never want to make the mount permanent anyway because it does not give you any flexibility of use on more than one vehicle.

Bought this for the wife's Saturn Vue. It worked so much better than the suction cup mount. Now she has a Saturn Vue Hybrid and it works great. We've had it for weeks now and we went on a 4 hour trip and it stays in place. Definitely recommend.
Great mount September 30, 2008
This mount is great it hokds to the dash perfectly. Garmin should supply this mount with all their products as the standard mount. Will definately recommend this product

This would be great if it had worked more than once! The mount itself is wonderful, but my connection was bad, when I'd switch back to my old one it worked perfectly, so I know it's the connection on the mount. I may have gotten a defective one
