Great little friend! January 11, 2007 I really debated long and hard to spend money on the 350 when I already owned the Garmin V. Overall compared to my older GPS this is a great improvement and I am glad I am glad I bought it. For my old GPS, I could be miles down the road before it would recalculate a new route. This one gives me a new route almost the second I pass the original route. My only complaints are the following: - Washes out in the sunlight - My old Garmin had a strap that you could use when hiking or walking in the city. The 350 does not have a strap. It is not very comfortable holding for any length of time. I am sure this Garmin would not survive a good fall. - My old Garmin correctly locates my home address. The map program on the 350 claims my house is four doors away. - I downloaded safety camera information from a web site but I never get any warning when I approach them. This is probably some setting I overlooked though.
Again, overall a great deal.
Fun and useful tool or toy January 11, 2007 Nice device to help find my way around. Even though I know where I'm going in most cases, sometimes I don't know the shortest or fastest route. Also, with the POI list built in it's nice to be able to look up a merchant or restaurant and then call them for hours, availability and other things. I also have an external antenna for the GPS but still have the one issue that annoys me...the length of time it takes for it to acquire the satellites. At times I can be down the road 1/2 mile to as many as 2 miles before it connects.
Very Nice! January 11, 2007 The Nuvi 350 is an excellent GPS. The maps are accurate, the speech is well done, the image is bright and crisp, and the touch screen interface is quite intuitive. Best of all it's tiny size makes it easy take with you.

This GPS is outstanding. I've wanted one for a while and finally got it for Christmas. There are so many features it's amazing! The response time is immediate...if you want local resturants, BAM!!, it will bring up a long list instantly. Need a hospital? BAM! There you have it. Gas station? BAM! Shopping/theater? BAM! Also, if you hit traffic on your route and decide to go around it, you can click "detour" and it will re-route your destination around the traffic. This gadget is worth every penny and extremly easy to use. The map is crystal clear, detailed, and accurate. If you buy one of these, be sure to register it on the Garmin website, because it is defaulted to factory setting in Kansas (which is great if you live there I geuss). With/without voice prompts in many languages, including a British accent (which is a blast to listen to). Durable, comes with a holding case and car charger. It is also an MP3 player and you can upload a bunch of programs into it. The list goes on and on....just buy it!!
Garmin GPS Navigator January 11, 2007 I am extremely pleased with my Nuvi 350 GPS navigator. I've seen others had a lesser price and certainly I would not have them. There is obviously a quality different. I do not use the GPS to a great extent but find extremely easy to use and when I need it I have total confidence in the instruction I received from it. No more frustration and concern in whether I have not turned where I should have.
