Hmmmmmmmmmmmm May 2, 2008 Well....for the two weeks that I had it, it was GREAT....but it just stopped working on a trip whre I really needed it. I did let the seller know, and within 24 hours, I had an RA number....so this story is a work in progress!
Thanks....
Street 530 Garmin April 28, 2008 Purchased the Garmin 530C street pilot as a birthday gift for my girlfriend. She adores it and has used it within town and on out of town business trips. Great directions very easy to use Why waste thousand of dollars on a Navigation system when this Garmin product is a fraction of the cost
Great When It Works! April 17, 2008 I received this item for a Christmas present. It was great until the last week. It has been cutting off and on randomly and now it has completely stopped working. I am in the process of contacting Amazon and Garmin to see if anything can be done.
Great GPS at any price April 9, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This GPS is very good - Its one real shortcoming being that it doesn't announce street names, which might be helpful depending on conditions. It is, however, exceedingly easy to use and extremely accurate and helpful. The graphics are very cool and the maps are very detailed - and most importantly it gets you where you want to go safely and efficiently - it even taught me a new way to get home which shaves a few minutes off my extremely lengthy commute! For those crybabies who say "Waaah!, it doesn't have an MP3 player or games and it doesn't cook my meals and i can't fit it in a matchbox and it doesn't stop me from wetting the bed..." You don't want a GPS, you want an Iphone - this fills its function perfectly. You would be a fool to spend more than $150 on GPS because this GPS is near perfect. And you're too old to be wetting the bed. No wonder you're alone.
Gets us Where We're Going April 9, 2008 We've had the garmin for a couple months now and it has been very helpful. We went on a tour of real estate properties all over the city (Boston) and it got us to every one with no trouble. It handled wrong turns very well and didn't freak out when we decided to go off the route. The one annoying thing is that you can't search for restaurants, banks, hotels, etc. in a designated city until you are in that city. Overall a great product.
