| Customer Reviews:
Garmin's Customer Service Best in the World! January 16, 2008 I bought the Garmin StreetPilot c530 almost a year ago. It has served us well, especially my directionally-challenged teenager. As the other reviews attest, this is an excellent unit. Unfortunately, my c530 died an unexpected death, thus my introduction to the Garmin customer service. While you do get the expected menu tree with only two options, neither of which was obviously the one to punch for warranty info, I tried technical support and did not have to wait on hold at all. I was immediately connected to representative who was friendly and knowledgeable. Within 2 minutes, we had gone through a few troubleshooting steps and was on the way to getting an RMA. If you opt to ship via UPS, they give you their shipping account number. I got a free upgrade on my return shipping, and they are immediately shipping out a new charging cord that probably technically isn't covered under warranty. All because, as I was told, they value me as a Garmin customer. They have made good on that claim in their service. Even if you could find a technically better product, you're not going to find better service.
money well spent January 14, 2008 I love this garmin street pilot c530. The directions are great and if you miss your turn it resets in seconds. I only found 1 flaw when I was in NY looking for a restaurant bbq it didn't come on on the search and I was only down the street from it, but other wise I've had no other flaws.
Great GPS January 14, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great GPS navigator. It works great and is very accurate. I love being able to find local restaurants & hotels in a town I'm not familiar with.
Easy, simple, fun! January 14, 2008 I wanted a GPS system that was easy to use, understand and reasonably priced. We have been using this system for a couple of weeks now and have been very pleased. There are a few addresses in which it hasn't recognized but once we drive to them, we can save the location into our favorites so it is easily accessed next time we need it. I think this is a problem with Garmin and not the actual GPS unit itself though. Overall, I have been very pleased and would recommend this product if you are a first-timer.
Garmin StreetPilot a Great Value January 13, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
For elderly people, especially, who don't want to wander around in unfamiliar territory, the StreetPilot is the "find" of the century. Easy to use, it directs one right to the door of the inserted address. Now, I no longer get lost everytime I try to find a new location.
