| Customer Reviews:
Stopped working after 14 months September 21, 2008 Works really well in the first year. Then someday it lost satellite connection under perfect weather condition and couldn't acquire satellites ever since. Tried all sorts of software updates and master reset...didn't work.

Very disappointed with the quality.
Good Results so Far September 20, 2008 We were spoiled with a navigation system built into our car. When we sold the car that item was the one thing we missed the most so this item is a must have. So far we have had good results. I think the best feature is the voice the actually says the street name that you are turning onto so you don't have to be distracted looking at the screen. The feature that allows the voice to come through you radio speakers leaves something to be desired. When you use this feature you can't listen to the radio or the navigation voice will not work. You can use the build in MP3 player but the quality of the sound is poor. It is similar to listening to a radio station that does not come in good. Plus when you set it to go through the radio you must select a station out of range. Then if you travel much that station can suddenly come into range and you must re-set the channel. The blue tooth phone is ok when you have to be hands free but the sound is still not there. For us it is a pain to have to remove the system every time you stop so no one steals it but I guess that would apply to all navigation systems. Overall, we would recommend this navigation system.
Just awesome September 20, 2008 I was able to go to over 90 locations today. Without this device, I was only able to complete 40. So easy to use, and super accurate. Now I use it all the time.
Good nav but bluetooth needs improvement... September 19, 2008 The Garmin Nuvi 660 is a good, full-featured nav system. I bought it for two reasons...one as a nav system (obviously) and two for the bluetooth feature. The nav is fine and does what it says it can do, but the bluetooth needs work. Most people I call complain it is difficult to hear me and the sounds cuts in and out. With the internal speaker, the sound is muffled and difficult to hear. If I connect it to the car stereo system, the sound is tinny and pitchy. I'm looking into products like an external microphone to improve the performance. If the bluetooth feature is important to you, I'd consider looking elsewhere.
Dash mount has problems September 19, 2008 The 660 is a great unit.
I have only one major complaint. The dash mount suction cup detaches without warning. Very dangerous if it happens while driving. I suspect that the unit is too heavy for the mounting hardware.
