Does what it says on the box August 9, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Not an essential piece of kit if you remember to take your car charging lead with you. It is, however, useful if the Tom Tom is used out of the car when visiting cities on foot. The unit is compact and comes with plugs for the whole world.

It was received in good order and very quickly, which was nice.

I can use it one other components that use mini-USB connections as well, like my cell phone and blue tooth headset.

I love the Tom Tom One, but the instructions stink. You literally have to figure it all out for yourself. PLUS, I paid more for the case than it costs now, because I pre-ordered it before it came out. Amazon recommendation with the Tom Tom. 5 stars for the device, one star for the directions that come with it.
It does what it is supposed to do February 6, 2007 42 out of 47 found this review helpful
When I got my Tom Tom One, there was a quick start guide that was to say the least inadequite. One of the things they left out was the fact that you can charge your Tom Tom using the USB cable connected to your computer. Insted they have a stern warning in their quick start guide suggesting you spend 30 bucks more to buy the Charger. The Charger works fine, but I don't think much of Tom Tom's business ethics in not including detailed information about their product when the consumer purchases it so you don't end up spending money on things you really don't need. For that reason, I wouldn't give Tom Tom any stars.
