TomTom works WAY better than Tom October 5, 2008

I've had my TomTom now for almost a year. I am legally named "Tom," and I can safely say TomTom has gotten us lost a lot less than "Tom." The touchscreen is quite responsive, and the menus are easy to navigate. I'd rate it a perfect five stars, but I lose the signal quite a bit when I'm in a city, and the battery dies quickly if it's not plugged in. It also takes a pretty long time to find satellites when it starts up - sometimes I have to turn it off and then on again in order for it to pick up a signal. Overall, it's a reasonably priced necessity, in my opinion.

which we recently ordered from Amazon.com is just what we wanted for
travelling. We will really put it to the test when we travel to Scottsdale
in a few weeks, we have no doubts it will save us many "domestic
disputes" while on the road!!
great gps October 3, 2008
Brings me everywhere I want. And is very fast to get new routes if I miss an exit. But if you have an adress in the outlet like me, it will only find your mailbox but not the house. Sometimes you still need time to find the destination. But I recognized that this thing is kind of starting learning.
It's easy to use and kind of selfexplaning. Would every time buy it again for this prize.

Good GPS for the money October 1, 2008
The TomTom One XL works just as it should and is very accurate. The larger screen is helpful in being able to see surrounding streets in the area you are traveling. I just took it on a trip from NH to VA without any problems. The only real complaint I have would be that, on only a couple of occasions, it was not been able to find signal for over 20 minutes. If I didn't know the immediate area I was in, I would have had a serious issue.
Overall, a great GPS for the money!!!
