I purchased this GPS for a vacation to California. Tested in our in my local area and it worked great. Then to prepare for vacation, I either found my vacation destinations thru the preinstalled POIs or keyed them myself and then saved all of them as favorites. We flew into Oakland, drove to San Francisco, Cambria, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Laguna Beach and ended in San Diego. There were no area's where the GPS did not work. When it is first turned on, it did take a couple of minutes to find the GPS signal. Usually by the time we were all situated in the vehicle and pulling out of the lot/garage the signal had been reached. I'm a single woman and have 2 teenage kids, this is our first GPS and we all found it very easy to use. Simple to pair with our blue tooth phone which is a Samsung Sync (A707). Now, I did have a 4 mb sd card at home so the first thing I did was copy the delivered items on the 2 mb sd card to my 4 mb sd card. Then installed the softward update onto the 4 mb card. Simply a great product and I would purchase again!!!

i needed my navigon delivered in time to travel the usa
and they had no problem changing my deliver date at no expense to me
so i would get it before i should have i was totally impressed
just a great job by rcs
and by the way the navigon is great

I recently purchased the Navigon 7100 GPS Navigator. Straight out of the box, I did the suggested updates recommended by the navigon website. (If you do not have a really high speed connection - I suggest downloading the update just before you go to sleep). I truly enjoy the 2D and 3D views that the 7100 offers. It does take a little tweeking to show what points of interst you want, otherwise you may have a clutered screen full of icons. The only other complaints I have is that it takes a minute or two to acquire the necessary satelites to start and that the on/off button needs to be better thought through. One press of the button may put it in a hibernation state, but you have to hold it down up to 10 secs to totally shut the system down. I have GPS in two other vehicles - one from the factory (Toyota Avalon) and the other is a Garmin. The prefer the Navigon, although the others don't have the issues that I mentioned above. But the 2D and 3D views by far out do the others, especially in a crowded 6 lane houston highway that your not sure what exit to take.

I have been looking for a GPS for some time now and I have read many reviews.
But my first look at the Navigon 7100 had me hooked.
I ordered with one day delivery and that is what I got, thanks Amazon great service.
I have enjoyed the GPS more than I can say. So many reviews almost swayed me from buying the Navigon. Like any new gadget you have a learning curve. It has taken me time to get familiar with my GPS but don't all technology?
I registered my system with Navigon and right away told me to add the updates for it and that was no problem. The list of cell phones that it is compatible with is not up to date because mine (Nokia 6555) is not in the list but it is compatible. The touch screen works as it should and the live traffic extends farther than is says. All in all Amazon .com has never let me down with anything I have purchased and the GPS was a great purchase I have no regrets and the PRICE was the best. Having the Navigon for my trip put my daughter and me at ease
