Fun and We Never Got Lost July 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We purchased our Garmin GPS just prior to leaving on vacation. We traveled 2000 miles round trip and never got lost using our GPS. We researched which type of GPS to purchase and liked everything we read about Garmin. I especially liked the larger 4.3-inch screen and it was most helpful hearing the street names for where we were to turn. We also found restaurants and hotels using the GPS. It was not only helpful, but fun.

Versatile. Slow startup since it has to load maps. Otherwise, this gps gets you to where your going. Voice direction a plus. Great support from Garmin.
Great GPS July 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been traveling for 12 years for work and don't know how I survived without a GPS. The 260W has everything I wanted( voice street names, auto recalculating trips, etc...) and none of the items I didn't want. I didn't even need to read the book to use, plug it in and go. Has to be the easiest piece of electronics I have used in a while.
Nuvi 200w July 25, 2008 Generally works well, but seemed to take me on side roads instead of the main highway I would have traveled. Also took me home a different way that I went. Not sure why it would do this, one way has to be the shorter. Also didn't come with USB connector which was required to register the product with Garmin (It's also required for updates). Garmin customer service had a short unacceptable explanation for not including required equipment.
Garmin 260w July 25, 2008 Lets' See...I like the points of interest feature and the ease of use ( the touch Screen). They could give you a memory card and some better voices to go with it! I think that it could have better more accurate turn by turn, several times it did not say to turn comming out of a rotary or missed a street for some reason causing arguments to insue in the car and making me look like a bad navigator. Over all I think it was a fair/Good purchase getting you in the general direction, but still study a map before you drive the rte.
