I am very happy with my purchase. It is my second GPS and the technology has certainly advanced in the last three years. I added the friction mount to my system because the window suction cup mount put the unit too far away to conveniently touch the screen from the driver's seat.
Dealing with Amazon.com couldn't have been smoother. I will purchase from Amazon again with out hesitation.

Very good driving GPS, but computer interfacing is lacking (at least with what they ship or is downloadable) March 6, 2008 I got tired of having lousy GPSes in my rental cars, while my coworker with a Garmin 2610 had very good results with his GPS, so after doing a bit of research, I bought the Garmin Nuvi 750, as a good compromise between features, cost, and a small easy-to-travel package.
What's good: 1. The routing has been very good, without too many odd routes. 2. The unit lags a bit, but is responsive enough 3. Built-in auto-recharging battery is a nice improvement over previous units. 4. Routing features are present that were lacking in many previous Nuvi units.
What's lacking: 1. The unit saves tracklogs, but I've been unable to download them. The standard answer from both internet groups and Garmin tech support is to use Mapsource, but the unit doesn't come with Mapsource (the data is preloaded). I can't believe I need to order $100 worth of software just to download tracklogs. 2. It would be nice to shut off some of the features to get more screen real estate, and it would be nice to have a field of user-configurable data fields like my older eTrex units. 3. You can't use the GPS when it's hooked up via USB.
All in all, I like the unit, but the software end of things could use some polish.

I had purchased a competitors brand GPS which I had for a month. After compatibility problems I returned it and got the Garmin Nuvi 750. It does all it's supposed to do and works well with my Apple computer. At first I didn't want to pay the higher cost for the Garmin, but as with most things you get what you pay for.

I have been using this GPS for the last several months. I picked it for the user interface, which is simple to use, and picked the 750 over less expensive models in the nuvi line for some of the multiple waypoints, routing and voice to text features it has. As soon as I got it I uploaded the latest software and the lock times for satellites have been very fast. Well under 15 seconds for me and within 16 feet accuracy. Its an amazing unit and I really recommend it. The standard mounting unit that is provided for front window mount works just great! I do wish they had a way to provide concealed wiring but I will have to figure that out just like I did with my radar detector. I just hate wires going all over the place, its a personal thing. I find, since I already have an ipod, I could live without the mp3 capabilities, picture viewing, etc. I don't live in a congested enough area to need to traffic features but I'm glad they are there if I ever do. Its a great unit and I got a great price at amazon...way below the big box stores!

Bravo. This is my third Garmin GPS - might as well stay with the best. First one was built into an iPod and was tough to operate. Second one was used for 2 years ( a C-350 ) and it was good, but made a few mistakes. Now the Nuvi has straightened out all of the mistakes. I would like all to note though- that I use an ouside antenna on my van. This magnetic soda bottle cap sized gadget is almost mandatory. I can put my GPS anywhere in the car I want and still receive superb performance becausee I'm always looking at all of the satellites. Garmin has it as an option, but other companies make them a lot cheaper - they are all good. I bought the bare-bones 650 model ( no blue-tooth ) and it's the same as a Nuvi 750 - even talks through your car stereo speakers. Anyway - you can't go wrong. the price here on Amazon is far less than I can find it elsewhere and delivery is great - no problems anywhere. Buy it - you'll like it.
