It is a decent cable, it does what you pay for, though its really hard (the coating of the cable).
Nothing extraordinary.

The product description does not match with the item shipped. Nowhere in the item received does it say that it is made by Belkin; and the cable was 2 meters (approx 6 feet) long and not 3 feet as stated in the description. If my statements/observations/comments are incorrect, I want ClearAV to correct me - I stand to be corrected. However, at the moment, I am disappointed at what I believe to be deception. I want a properly labeled and functioning Belkin product. (I am yet to try the product... which I may not do until I am convinced that what I have got is what I ordered).

I just got a brand new Sony mini DV camera... and I used this cable... it recognize the camera very fast... however... when I was going to transfer the video it just did not worked very well... the video was choppy and the audio was terrible (slow motion audio) I thought it was the camera but when I re-play the video using the camera the video looks just fine!! so it is not the camera or the DV Cassette... I got 2 GB of Ram in my computer! so it cannot be that either!! the only option that I can think its the cable... its not working properly!

I bought this product online at amazon. It arrived as expected and is providing more than expected results.
I had my MiniDV casette which I wanted to convert to a
DVD on Windows Vista.
This thing worked without any issue and gave perfect streaming even when working with applications while copying was being done.
Would recommend it to everybody who has a MiniDV and requires it to transfer it to DVD or CD.

I don't know what makes a cable good or bad, but this one worked just as intended between my camcorder and my laptop to capture DV for editing on the laptop. 3' was a good length for me as I don't need them very far apart.
